Install and repair thermal insulation on steam, chilled-water, and process lines at chemical and food-processing sites across Lehigh and Northampton Counties. Cut and fit mineral wool, calcium silicate, cellular glass, and elastomeric foam to isometric drawings; maintain thickness and jacket continuity per project specs. Apply and seal vapor barriers and metal jacketing so cold systems stay dry and hot systems stay within touch-temperature limits. Support annual turnarounds: strip, inspect, and reinstate insulation on exchangers and vessels within planned outage windows with zero rework on my assigned loops. Fabricate removable insulation covers for valves, flanges, and instruments so maintenance can access them without destroying the system. Mentor two apprentices on layout, knife work, and safe use of scaffolding and hot-work permits; both now run solo crews on smaller jobs. Coordinate daily with pipefitters, scaffolders, and HSE so insulation follows the pipe schedule and does not block hydrostatic tests.

Assisted journeymen on commercial HVAC duct wrap and mechanical room piping insulation. Measured, cut, and staged materials; applied adhesives and tape under supervision. Learned blueprint reading, material takeoffs, and shop fabrication of removable covers. Completed OSHA 10 and company fall-protection training; earned authorization for elevated work.

Staged insulation materials, cleaned work areas, and assisted with demolition of old jacketing during plant upgrades. Practiced safe lifting, housekeeping, and tool control on active industrial sites.
